This week would see the yBall team, Back at school coaching yBall since the half-term.
Delivering three sessions of yBall to three Schools, over the last three days, Engaging 41 children playing yBall. Winton Primary School, St Joseph primary School, and The Bishop of Winchester Academy. Next week Friday will see the team attend, the Dorset PE and School Sport Conference.
All the children in each school have shown great improvements, in all the ABC’s, core skill’s, catching, and movement.
The game’s tempo was very fast, with the guy’s and gal’s falling back into defensive positions at times, but we are working on this week on week. In three to four weeks we’ll be working on zones, plays.
The key to all of this is have fun., so request your song for the playlist.
Tomorrow is Bournemouth University Freshers Fair. Things kick off at 11.00am. So make sure you get there in time, to speak to the guy’s and gal’s in SportsBU plus RelaysBU, a great and friendly team that are always happy to help.

The FitLiving UK event will welcome trainer Richard Callender from Good Morning Britain and The Biggest Loser, and Lindsay Jay from International Fitness to the first-ever event.
The festival will take place on September 9 and 10.
The event will also play hoist to the UK latest sport, yBall designed to keep and refresh all your core skills, plus increase your cardio with this fun team sport.
Come and give it a go, in the SOLENT HALL AT 11.00 on Saturday 9th.
yBall is a fast tempo catch and pivot, FUN based game.
A non-impact, MIXED GENDER, cardio based game played to music.
A mix of American football, Netball, Ozi Rules Football. If you have ever played any of these sports, yBall is the game for you. And if not then yBall is the game for you.
The referee is the Mc on the MIC. The game can also be played in the dark.
yBall could called a space invasion game, as yBall is played on any surface. Beaches, Indoor or Outdoor.there are no markings, no bounders to the pitch, which means there is full movement all the around the pitch.
Over the year’s, yBall has seen a full range of players. Blind, Wheel chaired, prosthetic blades, plus a one armed player, so know matter what your ability you can play yBall.
As well as showcasing the latest fitness trends, the show wants to appeal to families about the benefits of keeping fit together. As well as a range of activities, there will be a holistic and wellbeing area, as well as a yoga and tough fitness tent directly on the beach.
A blogger stage will be set-up with a range of influential fitness stars as well.
Richard Callender, who will be running a selection of classes, said: “I am really looking forward to bringing my energy to this event and being both on and near the beach.
“I like the approach that FitLiving UK is taking, which is about trying to cut through all the noise of fitness and wellness; after all it’s about trying to be happier and healthier.”
Lindsay Jay, the woman who brought Zumba to the UK and founder of YogaFit Retreats, will be showcasing a range of Yoga classes on the main stage and bringing her love for wellbeing to everyone at the event.
She said: “Wellness comes in many forms and it’s about what works for people individually.
“We can already see that wellness has become a trend in itself, but people can often be confused by the many fitness messages out there.
“I am very excited to be part of this new event and helping people to get excited about living a healthy, happy life.”
Gemma Harris, managing director of Lineup Media and Events, who is running the event, said: “The show is looking to demystify fitness and appeal to anyone looking to try out the latest fitness innovations; including families wanting to keep fit together, the toughest of athletes and people just looking to improve their health.”

FITLIVING UK will be an amazing fitness weekender at the BIC and Bournemouth Beach.

The whole centre joins in the fun as activities, attractions and displays flood the sports centre’s main hall and gymnasiums and take over the vast Littledown Park in its sweeping grounds. Watch local talent showcasing yBall gymnastics, taekwondo, singing, dancing and acting.
You’ll be wowed by the martial arts displays, meet Crazy Creature creepy crawlies, go orienteering and get your face painted and your hair wrapped. Watch in amazement at the falconry display, challenge the family to go Go Karting, sign the kids up to youth theatre workshops or send them into the Inflatable Zone to bounce off that endless energy!
There’s so much going on that you could easily stay for the whole event – from 11am to 4pm. This week would see the yBall sports team deliver session, at Bournemouth University running sessions 220 NCS students, over a 2 day period, for the 3rd year in a row.
Plus for 2nd year row, the yBall Sports team, also ran a sports session on Friday with 52 Gifted and Talented youngsters aged 13 to 16, as part of the ongoing Health and Wellbeing Day Festival of Learning.
The yBall sports team is proud, to be part of the development of the young students in there outreach projects in the community. A massive thanks to Bournemouth Uni Relays team, for help and support, with the program of activities they’ve put together, team building, Uni tours, and the sports activity with yBall Sports. Plus Elise St Hill and her team for putting together the Health and wellbeing day.
To end a fantastic week of activities the yBall team will be at Slades Farm Family Festival.
This is a free event with a range of family friendly activities including:
A fun dog show, various stalls and amusements, activities in and around the Community Centre and Slades Farm
Open Spaces. There will also be, activities in the Community Garden and Velodrome, food stalls, live music and
sporting events. There is an expected footfall within the region of 1500 people at any one time, between 12 noon and

Banners are up; correx boards are up; 2000 A5 flyers have been distributed; A4 and A3 size notices are going up in shops, notice boards and around the area. Over 11000 A3 flyers are being delivered this week by Royal Mail.

Over 1,200 students to participate at the Dorset Summer School Games Finals
Bryanston School will be hosting the Dorset Summer School Games Finals 2017. Over 1,200 students will participate in a range of competitions, including cricket, equestrian, and rounders.
Martin Kimberley, Active Dorset Chief Executive, stated “It’s great to see the range of opportunities for students in Dorset as the County School Games continue to grow and 2018 will be the largest event yet. Very well done to everyone who has made it to the Games and I hope you all have a successful, enjoyable and memorable day.”
The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport.

This week has been very busy one for the yBall team.
On Wednesday the team went to Winton Primary School, in the Bournemouth. Delivering a yBall session to 50 children. Coaching the ABC’s, Movement, spatial awareness, and a few catching drills the Key elements for every sports.
Winton primary school prides itself in being in the heart of the community, a place where pupils are happy and engaged We will make every effort to there school vision a reality for every child. For the last three years schools have been allocated a sum of money to improve the quality of sport in primary schools. The funding is known as the primary physical education and sport premium.
Next week will see the yBall team return to Winton Primary School, to engage with year 6 following the similar format as the week before. Winton Primary believes in the yBall fresh approach to coaching, and with this in mind, help to develop new Sports people for the future.

On Friday the BU Relay Team hoisted there Bournemouth University AspireBU event, with yBall team delivering the yball game throughout the day.
With the three Schools received a tour of what the University has to offer the students on campus, plus participating in team building workshop. These Schools being Glenmoor, Winton Boys and Poole High. The whole day was thoroughly enjoyable with over 70 pupils playing yBall.
To finish off this weeks events, the yBall team traveled across the New Milton’s Rugby Club, family fun day on Saturday.
The day featured 16 come & join in for free sports events. Fencing, Netball,Tennis, Volleyball, yBall, Taekwondo, New age kurling, just to name a few of the event the public can join in.
New Milton Rugby Club has been part of the community since 1927. This year will see the Rugby club celebrate there 90th anniversary.
By the end of the day we had delivered sessions to nearly 160 people kids and adults playing yBall.
